The Williams and Lee Pool is proudly owned and operated by West Baton Rouge Parish Parks and Recreation. The pool is open free to the public from Memorial Day weekend through the first week of August.
Please note: Private bookings are no longer available.

Monday: 11 am- 4 pm
Tuesday: Closed for Cleaning
Wednesday-Friday: 11 am- 4 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 1 pm- 6 pm

Pool Rules:

In order to assure that everyone has safe, clean fun, and fantastic summer swim, the following rules will be strictly enforced:

  • All guests will be expected to follow all the pool rules
  • AGE REQUIREMENTS:
    • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult (18 or older) to enter the pool facility. 
    • An adult 18 years old or older may supervise a maximum of 4 children under the age of 16 in the facility. 
    • Age must be verified for entry without an adult. Acceptable IDs include:
      • Any high school ID listing a school, grade, name and photo
      • Any state issued ID with a DOB (Driver's license, permit, ID, etc) and photo.
  • Proper swimwear is required – cutoff shorts and undergarments are not allowed in the pool
  • No food, drinks, alcohol, gum or tobacco are allowed in the pool or on the pool's edge
  • Smoking is not permitted in the pool area
  • Glass containers are not allowed on the pool premises
  • No diving is allowed
  • No animals in the pool or on the deck (except service animals)
  • No running, horseplay, fighting, dangerous conduct or loud noise
  • No foul or vulgar language
  • No Diapers, with the exception of swim diapers (guests are responsible for proper swim diaper disposal)
  • Lifeguards are responsible for enforcement of the pool rules and may remove anyone from pool premises for disregard of the pool rules
  • Lifeguards must be notified immediately of all injuries.
  • Only individuals who have passed a swim test and have a wristband on may enter the deep end area of the pool.

Swimming Lessons:

SELA Aquatics, in partnership with the American Red Cross and West Baton Rouge Parish Parks & Recreation makes quality swim instruction accessible and affordable. Whether you're just starting out or looking to improve technique, our programs support swimmers at every level. 

Lessons are taught by certified instructors using the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim curriculum and are perfect for beginner and developing swimmers.

Program Information

  • 3 days a week- Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for 2 week Sessions
  • Dates:  
    Session 1: June 9 – 19 from 12 pm – 1 pm
    Session 2: June 23 – July 3 from 12 pm – 1 pm

    Session 3: July 7 – 17 from 6 pm – 7 pm
    Session 4: July 21 – 31 from 6 pm – 7 pm
  • Additional swim lessons will be offered in July.  Check back in late June for more details and registration links.

Registration Details: 

  • Cost is $5 per child
  • All registrations must be completed online
  • No cash or in-person payments will be accepted
  • Participants are only able to attend one set of two-week lessons

  • Registration is being done on a first-come, first-served basis. All sessions will be capped to ensure the health and safety of program participants and proper instructor-to-student ratios.
