NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Parish Council of West Baton Rouge will hold a PUBLIC HEARING October 24th, 2023 at 5:30pm at Parish Council Governmental Building; 880 N Alexander Ave, Port Allen, LA 70767 to consider the following adoption:

 

 

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 7, Section 23 (C) of the Constitution and R.S. 47:1705(b) that a public hearing of the West Baton Rouge Parish Council will be held at West Baton Rouge Parish Governmental Building/Council Room, 880 N. Alexander Avenue, Port Allen, Louisiana on Thursday, October 26th, 2023 at 5:30pm to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rate after reassessment and rolling forward top rates not to exceed the prior year’s maximum. Tax Recipient body intends to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval (R.S.47:1705(B). The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected in the next year from the increased Drainage millage is $5,215,082 and the amount of increase in tax attributable to the millage increase is $86,918.
